Privacy Policy for the Medarca Master App
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with your use of the Medarca Masterapp. The app is a work tool intended for users who have been granted access by their employer or client (hereinafter referred to as “the Organization”).
1. Collection of Information and Login
To ensure that the app functions as intended, the following data is processed:
Login: You log in using an account created and managed by your organization in an external system. The app verifies your login credentials to ensure that you have permission to control the specific locks associated with the organization.
Technical identifiers: We collect anonymous device IDs via Google Firebase to analyze the app's stability, detect crashes, and improve performance.
2. Device Permissions
The app requires access to the following features to enable interaction with physical locks:
Camera: Used exclusively to scan QR codes that identify which lock to use. No image data is stored on the device or sent to external servers.
Bluetooth (Scanning & Connection): Used to communicate with electronic locks via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This is necessary to send unlock commands.
Location Information: On some versions of Android, technical access to location services is required to search for Bluetooth devices. We never track, store, or share your geographic location via GPS.
3. Logging and Traceability
When the app is used to unlock a locker, an event log is generated.
Purpose: Logging is performed to ensure safety and traceability in the workplace in accordance with the Organization’s internal guidelines.
Handling: Logs containing the time and user ID can be transmitted from the lock to a backend server to enable the Organization to track usage.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following external services to ensure a good user experience:
Google Firebase (Crashlytics & Analytics): These tools help us ensure that the app is stable and free of bugs. This data is technical in nature and does not contain personal information such as names or email addresses from your business account.
5. Liability and Personal Information
Your Organization (the employer) is the data controller for the user data generated when using the service. We act as a service provider and process data in accordance with the instructions and agreements in place between us and the Organization.
